is there a remake of ffVII?

is it true?

i'm really confused some people told me that ffVII is remake ( i mean they make the graphics like the ffx).

and is it for going to be game or a movie

pls tell me!!!!!!!!!

They're probably referring to FFVII: Advent Children, which is a movie that takes place 2 years after the events of FFVII. It's being made in the same style as, say, the FFX CGI cutscenes, or FF: The Spirits Within. It's supposed to come out in Dec. 2004 here in Japan and in early 2005 in the US, if memory serves.

They're also working on an FFVII sequel, called 'Dirge of Cerebus', starring Vincent.

And then there's Before Crisis and another whose acronym is CC, I believe...I have little-to-no clue what they're about...but anyway, Advent Children is the one to watch out for.

Before Crisis is a game that was made for NTT DoCoMo's FOMA 900iV phone, and takes place 6 years before FFVII. You play as the Turks in their counterinsurgency campaign against Avalanche. Among nifty things is that the game utilizes the camera on the phone: you take a picture, and it breaks the picture down to its' basic color and uses that to make materia.

Dunno about that CC thing, though.
