One Piece dubbed

At first I thought it sucked but I've heard alot of my friends in Japan tell me the show is really good so I stayed with it. It has gotten alot better with that Captain Kuro saga and for some reason I'm starting to like all their voices! I love Usopp's Rock Leeish voice, Luffy's scratchy kid voice, Zolo's heavy, knuckles like voice, and even Captain Kuro's too "I've been imitating Usopp's and his voice at my high school" Even though the show looks kiddyish with all the clown stuff, it's a really a serious anime. It's just sad that Shaman King still sucks in it's dub though.

What do you guys think about One Piece's dub?

To my surprise, I actually like the show, even if it went through 4Kids (which pretty much ruins every show that it goes through). The Usope (however you spell that name) voice is annoying though, and all the other voices are to familiar from other shows on the Foxbox (yes, I watch it). Otherwise, it's okay.

Since I've only seen the second episode dubbed I can't comment on all the characters, but overall it's actually okay. Zoro and Nami sound good, and Luffy's is maybe a bit too high/scratchy at times but still listenable.

The main problem for me, though, it's the voices themselves, but the changed dialouge (what's with all the fish/sea/boat references? it may be a shopw about pirates but coooome on!), and cheesy edits.

Considering this was the first show I've listened to subbed first (and actually liked the subbed cast a lot) I'd have to lean towards that being better, but if they took out all the lame dialoge changes I'd like it [the dub] better.

one piece owns... i applaud fox for showing it but ZOLO!?!??!! omg ahahhaahahahahhaa, when i saw the first episode i about died laughing!

zoLo!! hahahha guys its zoro!! zoRRo the swordsman like the american wild-west legend!!! they even made it more obvious with him wielding not two, but THREE swords, he'd slice the MESS out of kenshin in a heartbeat, travelin swordsman wouldn't have a cross on his face but an ASTERISK * if he messed w/ zoro

the R in zoro is NOT AN "L" LOST IN TRANSLATION!!!!

i don't follow it on fox but everytime i do watch it its sooo funny. maybe if i watched it more i'll get used to it but in the meantime ROTFLMAOOMGWTFHAHAHAHAHALOLOLOLxD "ZOLO"!!

They changed it to Zolo because the guys who own the trademark on the Zorro movies complained.

I didn't like that Captain Buggy saga so I didn't watch it and never completed it in Shounen Jump cause it was boring me. I do, however, love this Captain Kuro saga. I would have never attempted to watch the show though until my friend showed me a pic of Captain Kuro from the manga and showed me his "crazy" move. I thought that was hot so I had to start watching the show and now I think I'll like it "As long as Captain Buggy doesn't show his face again."
