Grave of the Fireflies

Okay, I just saw this movie again and I cried my eyes out. Who else loves this movie?

Miyazaki's art style is brilliant, by the way. :)
Kya! Konnichiwa! I hope I can meet a lot of great AMV makers! :3

Actually, Miyazaki had nothing to do with Grave of the Fireflies. Isao Takahata was the director.

One of the best I have seen and in saying that I will NEVER watch it again as it depressed me so much and just brought me completely down with the darker side of humanity that I will never be able to sit through it again.
"Light in the absence of eyes illuminates nothing. Visible forms are not inherent in the world but are granted by the act of seeing. Events contain no meaning in themselves only the meaning that the mind imposes on them...yet the world endures,...whether or not the mind exists..."

it is even more depressing if you watch it a second time, because you know the story an so the first 10 minutes (or so i think) get a whole new meaning for you......

the second time was way harder than the fist time

With everyone always talking about it, maybe I should watch it a third time.
Probably too busy to be here right now.

Yeah its great, makes you cry and all that.

Now is it just me or are "GotF is awsome" threads starting to get a bit repetitive. I've seen at least 3 of these same threads.
