Last Exile is amazing!! I've seen the first four dvd's (ep 1-16) and can't wait to see the rest. I was renting the dvd's thru netflix, but since tech tv is running the marathon I've my Tivo set up to record it all. The animation is beautiful. The airships and vanships flying around in CG blends in so well with the animation. The story so far is very well done and interesting. This one will definitely rank in my top 5, but if it will overtake RahXephon at the top will depend on how the rest of the series turns out. I recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Just watched the last disc tonight.
I really liked the characters and the world...but upon reflection, the story didn't really go anywhere I mean, there's resolution, but nothing really makes sense, and a bunch of the really cool characters are killed off quickly and pointlessly.
All in all, I thought it was alright...the first half was a lot stronger than the second, though, IMO. The first half built up a lot of mystery and suspense, and the second half systematically discarded any notion that anything would make sense by the end.

I have no idea how to use this new forum.
