I can't wait to finish the series especially in Christmas on TechTV's Anime Unleashed, they're going to marathon all 26 episodes.

I watched a couple of dubbed episodes on Tech TV...it bored me, but I didn't start from the beginning so that may be why.

And the fact that I generally can't bear mecha/tech/space/on air anime.

I love this Anime. It's a pitty that some people think this is a boring series. It's a extremely beautiful piece of art. The Soundtrack is incredible. The story may be not that complex but its still appealing to me.

Last Exile is amazing!! I've seen the first four dvd's (ep 1-16) and can't wait to see the rest. I was renting the dvd's thru netflix, but since tech tv is running the marathon I've my Tivo set up to record it all. The animation is beautiful. The airships and vanships flying around in CG blends in so well with the animation. The story so far is very well done and interesting. This one will definitely rank in my top 5, but if it will overtake RahXephon at the top will depend on how the rest of the series turns out. I recommend this to anyone and everyone.

You know, I only have one complaint about Last Exile: the rushed ending. Seriously, the amount of material covered in the last 3-4 episodes should've been spread over twice as many. It would've really helped the pacing.

The ending's pretty good, but it goes by too fast.

Just one little note...why do all anime episodes come in divisions on 13, I wonder.

Just watched the last disc tonight.

I really liked the characters and the world...but upon reflection, the story didn't really go anywhere :? I mean, there's resolution, but nothing really makes sense, and a bunch of the really cool characters are killed off quickly and pointlessly.

All in all, I thought it was alright...the first half was a lot stronger than the second, though, IMO. The first half built up a lot of mystery and suspense, and the second half systematically discarded any notion that anything would make sense by the end.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.
