The reasoning behind this is that these people have discovered Adult Swim and probably use non-words like "teh" and "r0x0r".Otohiko wrote:Discussion-expanding question:
why?
[sarcasm]Besides, there is nothing beyond the anime shown on Adult Swim. Anime exists nowhere else. We are alone in this universe.[/sarcasm]

For many people, this is a sad truth.Harlock7876 wrote:[sarcasm]Besides, there is nothing beyond the anime shown on Adult Swim. Anime exists nowhere else. We are alone in this universe.[/sarcasm]
There are many out there who aren't as fortunate to be able to afford to buy anime on DVD or even a player.
I've been in that position before, where I'd either get anime or pay the rent. I was fortunate enough to have been able to collect as large a library as I have -- but I've been collecting (and buying used) for a very long time now.
Since Cartoon Network is basic cable, it's affordable month-to-month. When it comes to those who have cable, Adult Swim is perhaps their only gate to anime. They get five nights a week of anime, whereas they would only be able to buy only one (maybe two) anime DVDs for the same price.
