Annoying Screams

In Tenchi Muyo! every 5-10 seconds one of the girls screams "Tenchi!". this is really annoying especially in the middle of a fight

Shin Getter Robo.

Every few seconds one of the characters violently screams the name of an attack at the top of his lungs. "GETTAH BEAM!" "GETTAH TOMAHAWK!!!!"

It's disturbing.

Basically any character who screams really, really, really loudly for a ridiculously long time while powering up. I get sick of having to lower the volume everytime that happens. Jeez, it must suck to be in the recording room with those scenes...

what are ya talking about? in End of Eva, that is the greatest scream i've ever heard in my life, the original Japanese that is.

On the Platinum Volume 1 commentary, Spike Spencer and Matt Greenfield talk about the Shinji screaming period.

In the episode they were commentating (Episode 2: Unfamiliar Ceiling), Spike says that the scream he gives when he sees Eva 01 without armor made him lose his voice for a while.

It's too bad that this looks like the only Spike Spencer commentary unless he pops up on Volumes 4-7 somewhere along the way.

(IMHO, that one commentary was enough for me, anyway. He isn't a very engaging person on a commentary and I've read that he has a dislike of anime and conventions (for example, on the commentary, he said he likes some of the shows he's voiced for, but he can't even remember the names of them and needs Matt Greenfield to help remember them?!))
