.....
Paizuri has been really strict on this lately, if you dont post WHY you like the series, he might just lock the thread. so please post the name and why you like it for the sake of this thread. besides the point, my favorite series in Mai HIME, it has some really funny stuff, some not too crude, but very funny sexual humor, and the main character can summon a REALLY cool dragon/ Phoenix(?) thing. Plus, its filled with cute girls.

FLCL definitely, I fell in love with it in 2001 and will always love it
The characters are very in depth given the 6 episode span of the show. The anime is funny, clever, crazy, and like one big music video.
Along with this, I LOVE Kino's Journey. It's strange because it's much more... well... calm. I love the deep meanings in every country and all that the anime has to offer as to life's meaning.
Haibane Renmei, Magical Shopping Aracade Abenobashi, Naruto, Boogiepop Phantom, and Lain all come in very close though.

Fave Anime
Inuyasha is #1 because of the amazing story behind it, 2nd is Sailor Moon because it described my whole childhood until age 13, and #3 is DB/Z/GT.

Okay y'all, please remember to say why your favorite anime is what it is.
As for me, I love Haibane Renmei. The character's actions are so realistic, and the artwork is just amazing. The series is really subtle and I'm still not sure what the plot is, even after watching up to episode 7. Ah well, still a great show!
Next would be Yu Yu Hakusho. I like all of the different twists the series bring, like bad guy turning into good guy, good guy turns into demon, good guys pitted against each other, etc. I also love how deep the characters are. It's so easy for me to write fanfiction on the YYH people because their personalities are so distinct and well-developed. The only thing I don't like about the show is that the animation fluctuates more than a roller coaster.
.hack//SIGN is also rated pretty high on my scale. The music and backgrounds are just incredible, it's like you're actually in the game. The conversations the characters have are subtle and sometimes vague, but that gets you thinking, which I like. It may be a bit boring at times, but it's still good.
I've just started reading Naruto manga, and it's an understatement to say that I'm hooked. Too bad that the US hasn't liscensed it yet, and I can't download fansubs because my laptop is on its deathbed and one episode download would probably be the end of it...
