It was on again - of again for many years. The first show that I really got into was Starblazers and Speed Racer, but then there was a lull for years until the mid 1980s. I was religious about watching Voltron and the Robotech series. The original Macross Saga made a tremendous impression on me.
When I got to college in the 90's, I started collecting anime videos, mostly anything I could lay my hands on: Macross Plus, Wings of Honimeses, etc.
Anime finally came back to stay as a part of my life during the turn of the century when Cowboy Bebop was released on DVD. What can I say? It changed everything. I've been watching and collecting like crazy since then.

unbelivable... it's the same with me, just that I have an older brother, not a sister, and it was only DBZ...unx16 wrote:for me it was eather DBZ or Pokemon, at the time my sister watched them two alot, so I was pretty much forced to watch them, but I liked DBZ so I guess you could say thats the one that got me into Anime

Well, the very first anime I had ever watched was...Pokemon...(Don't yell at me, please) But I didn't know at the time what anime was. (I was like 9 years old.) Then about 2 years ago I got into Cowboy Bebop, whichlead to most things anime. That's my story.
And so ends another episode of wasting time with Faye...

Well, the first anime I watched was DBZ (yes I know!) I was like 12 or something. (I'm 16 now).It was the firts time we had cable so I looked through the menu and found "Cartoon Network". I checked it out and DBZ was on. I think it was still on the Saiyan Saga (I still remember on which part) It was when Goku and Radditz were fighting, I think, on Master Roshi's island. Then I watched Pokemon and Digimon, and then went into the more mature stuff since I got older. *remembers the good old days.... sniff.... * ....

It began one day, in mid afternoon. I was your average geek, able to create pong on a TI-83 in a matter of minutes. I would come home, and Cartoon Network would show the strangest series. Something called Dragon Ball Z, and then good stuff, Outlaw Star.
In time, Outlaw Star was replaced by the various Tenchi series, then they showed the next great thing: Big O.
Flash forward to college, when I am able to stay up later and program an sprite game in hours. There I discover Adult Swim with a classic gateway anime: Cowboy Beebop. 'So this is Anime?' I say to myself. It was then I realized I had been an Otaku for years.
Not one to fear my addictions, I dived in full tilt and have been loving it ever since.
My name is Lord Null, and I'm an anime fan.
