Why do DBZ character wait...

Why do they wait to use their ultimate attack until they are losing. If you can do a super-ultra-mega hand blast, that will decimate your opponent BEFORE he kills your friends and family, and almost kills you?

Why not just use that super-ultra-mega hand blast FIRST, then go and get a bite to eat?

Because then the series would be one episode long.

On further consideration, that might be for the better.

My goal is to eliminate DBZ from repetitive anime fans diets. Instead of wasting your time and mind, watching such, watch something slightly more insightful. I've got an idea, i'm gonna ask my friend (he had most of the original DBZ series on DBZ,) to let me borrow the discs, then i'll cut out the fight scenes, (except for major plot-points, etc.) and see how long the actual "intellectual" part is.

-I'm guessing 5 minutes...

-Any other takes on this project?

hmm...a 5 minute long dbz that sums it all up... That might be the first time i felt even remotely interested in watching the series...

5 minutes for the whole thing.... hmmmmmm.

how about 5 minutes a saga. I saw an AMV that showd the whole kid buu fight/story very well in about 3 minutes. I'd say that would be better.
