well japanese kids are exposed to a lot more than american kids. that means when they release it here they will edit it a lot. plus i wouldn't consider naruto a kids anime. some of the characters (like gaara) have really deep personalities and the emotion of the storyline is not something younger kids would understand. plus there are some bloody parts and lots of hatred (itachi, zabuza & gaara) along with the sexy no jutsu which is probably more than they will show on toonami.

btw i respond much better to the posts where u make a real point and not just throw out insults... i can understand why you would say protesting is oxymoronic, but i am a fan of the original naruto, i dont think i will be nearly as supportive of the dubbed version. i do like the idea of tshirts and other cool stuff though.

Very true! And at least they'll have Naruto, as compared to, let's say, the American Ninja films :P

I doubt many will be. It's a dub, and few manage to live up to people's expectations of the original voice acting.

otohiko - i completely agree with you. i mean... i do have some grounds to criticise dubbing because no matter what they do i can and probably will find something wrong because i watched the fansubs first. i suppose if i was watching it for the first time in english i would still like it, and that's going to be the case for millions in america now. you have one of the best perspectives on this that i've heard so far.

You do realize one DVD can range from a $30 - 50 range, don't you? I mean.. I'd rather wait for it to come out down here when it costs $20. :?
