I had a really wierd WTF after watching Blood; The Last Vampire, simply since it left off on a cliffhanger.

I also experienced this during Sentou Yousei Yukiaze, since so much is left unexplained, and the novel (Not Manga!) has never been translated to english
"I've spent the last ten years of my life defending my country, I've sacrificed for it, fought for it, and bled for it, now it's time I got something back, so please just respect me and my fellow Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines as we continue to do this job."

I got that WTF feeling after watching X the movie. Not much of a story and then everyone dies.

I have the DVDs, and there is something later:
Spoiler wrote:Everyone else (no Shugo or Rena) is setting up, ready for and adventure, then someone says "Wait, we're missing some people" It ends with Shugo and Rena appearing, ready to play. That kinda ended my WTF feeling.

I wrote a review on this series, and trust me, I still shake my head at that ending. (My other WTF moment in .hack//Legend of the Twilight is all the lazy time in the middle. I mean:
Rena is comatose and Shugo wants to find her so she will come out of her coma. So what do all of the party and he do next? Take a dip in hot springs.
That made me say "WTF" out loud when I saw it the first time. :?

As Evangelion Unit 01 mentioned, Serial Experiments Lain is another one with a WTF-kind of ending to it.

The last two Evangelion episodes. It was the first anime series I saw that actively tries to elicit that responce, so that's what I did. (Which is also what pissed me off about the show.)

my WTF? moment was for the Escaflowne movie. I had seen the series up to where Hitomi got her stuff jacked in that town and she went looking for it, but the movie..to quote CJ Cherryh in one of her books "gods and thunder!!!" The movie was like showing 5 minutes of SW:Ep 1, then 2 minutes of SW:ep2; 2 minutes of SW:ep3, A shot of Luke, then the cantina scene, then Vader, then Hoth, Yoda, some x-wings, a ghostly Obi Wan, a frozen Han, Leia in that dress, the death star blowing up followed by the Ewok "happy dance". In other words, a slew of plot holes left and right. The "Outlanders" OVA made more sense (when comparing what parts they left in/took out from the manga series).

Besides the characters, the movie is completely unrelated storyline wise from the show.

8-)

Those three letters were exactly what I uttered at the end of Gilgamesh.

I understood it, I just thought it sucked.

I cant think of any others that left me saying that.

The ULTIMATE "WTF" was definetly a movie called Kimera that I rented from blockbuster. It wasn't confusing or the end didn't cut off, but after you finished watching, the only thing you could say was "WTF"...
