Paradise Kiss is going to be animated.

According to Anime Blogzine, Gainax will be the production studio working on the Paradise Kiss TV series. Osamu Kobayashi will direct and Nobuteru Yuki will provide character designs.

If you guys want to know, Osamu Kobayashi is the one who also directed Kimagure Orange Road and Beck while Nobuteru Yuki did the character designs for Escaflowne the Movie and Heat Guy J.

Something tells me, this is one Gainax series a lot of people are going to anticipate more since I heard the manga is pretty popular among shoujo fans (well as long they don't pull a Kare Kano

).

Nice. I always did hope that they'd animate it one day. Will have to keep an eye out for it.

I wish they brought Neighborhood Story (aka Gokinjo Monogatari) over here too. Oh well. I'm definitely looking forward to this series (although I hope the character designs don't deviate much from Yazawa Ai's original designs, *cringes at Pinocchio noses*).

Hmm, ANN made a mistake. Gainax is not involved in it though Madhouse is the one producing it.
