An important thing to remember is in japanese cartoon making they animate the mouth movements before they do the script. As long as the mouth movements match the words coming out of them something looked at alot more closely in an english dub than a japanese one its fine.
Its not like your watching a live action movie with english voices being dubbed over a live actor.

What about Belldandy in Ah! My Goddess the movie?OmniStrata wrote:Thank God for Ruby Marlowe. She also did voice for Princess Shiela in Bastard!! OAV. Hot then too! Wish she didn't do the voice for Miaka, her voice has too much sexual tone, kinda like Wendee Lee as her role in Faye Valentine. She also did the voice of the stuck up Naginata babe in Samurai Girl, Azumi Kiribayashi. 0_0Vegeta_ssj4 wrote:please teacher the voice of kei but voice of miuzho kazami kusangi hot

I agree with the general consensus about the Love Hina Dub. The Fushigi Yuugi and Ceres dubs aren't all that great either. It's strange, but with Sailor Moon, I actually prefer the English voice acting in the first two seasons over the voice acting in S and SuperS, even though the first two have far more mistranslations, deculturizations, and outright censorship. I also hear that the Slayers dubs are pretty bad.
I haven't listened to very much of the Onegai Twins dub, but it's not sounding too good.
Some good dubs: Have to mention Fruits Basket, Cowboy Bebop and Hellsing, but among others are "Famous Detective Holmes," a show from the 80s that has Sherlock Holmes stories with anthropromorphic dogs. Miyazaki was involved with it, btw. It's set in England, and since the source material is English, it plays better dubbed. The Right Stuff does a decent job (KareKano, Comic Party), and ADVs Full Metal Panic dub is redeemed by 5.1 sound. Finally, I only have the first disk, but Read Or Die has a pretty impressive dub, too. It really does seem like British is better as these things go, since that's why people like the Hellsing dub.

Two maybe not bad dubs here, but at least disapointing and off-character, in my opinion:
Hellsing: In the sub version, Alucard sounds like he is the devil himself, but in the du version he sounds like an ex-boyband star.
Same for Ranma: especially Ryoga when he is pissed. He has such a wonderful deep voice. In the sub-episode where he is posessed by that (kawaii) little oni and says he is going to make himself at home after Kasumi tells him Akane is in the bath, he sounds like he is posessed by Alucard, but in the sub it sounds like someone kicked him in the... *hrm*. in my opinion at least. Which is why I always watch the sub versions. With a few exceptions

The WORST anime ever
The WORST anime ever is Cowboy bebop, there is only one word to describe it STUPID!!! I watched about five minutes of it, I tell you it was so bad I turned off the TV. Another very bad anime is the Gundum series it was horrible.

Re: The WORST anime ever
That's coming form someone who has "Rave Master" on their favorite anime list . I happen to like Gundam and Cowboy Bebop and by just saying what you did, I can assure you that you've pissed off over half the website members (including staff). Have a nice day...Sanosuke Blaze Sagara wrote:The WORST anime ever is Cowboy bebop, there is only one word to describe it STUPID!!! Riiiiiiight.. well back on topic.
I'd have to say (just like almost everybody here) that Love Hina was done horribly.
One Piece is completely unbearable (between the voices and the edits, i felt like imploding my head after a minute of staring blankly at the screen)
I didn't particularly like .hack Legend of the Twilight or Eiken... damn i can't seem to think of many more series i've heared dubbed by choice, it's usually on accident or by force
Cowboy Bebop was decent as was (IMHO Trigun, though less so)
Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi and Puni Puni Poemi (as well as half of FLCL) were actually easier to handle in Dub (and were funnier in some respects). This is saying a lot for me, because i usually won't listen to any dub.
