ok my problems with the show are fairly simple:
There's nothing creative about it, or even close. short of a mech, every anime stereotype is in there somewhere.
The plot hasn't advenced. adding new characters doesn't advance plot. each character is given the situation, develops a story behind it, and that's about it. as i say all the time, when i started accurately guessing the episode plot on AS a week before, it's time to stop.
overmerchendising. not really about the anime, but still, don't like it. this kinda goes along with the psycho fandom around it. lol go to any huge anime place and say you don't like inuyasha. it will get suddenly quiet, except for the whispering
Baboons aren't scary.
Unless the series is funny (south park, Simpsons, Lupin) and doesn't have a serious storyline, no series needs to go over 100 episodes.
that's mine for now. might think of more later.

What exactly do you mean by that? I'm not sure what you meant to say here, but I hope you aren't calling me names. And I haven't seen the second movie.
So true! Kikyo kind of drives me nuts. Its like now that she's dead she betrays everything that she fought for in life. Which makes me think, "huh?"Arigatomina wrote:Kikyo. You're dead, act like it. She stopped being a good plot device after the second time she showed up in the anime.
I don't know they kind of scare me.Bulghod wrote:Baboons aren't scary.

I misunderstood it because of the way you said it.Saying that they added a second good girl made it sound like you were talking about Kikyo since she Kagome showed up first.Arigatomina wrote:the preceding post:Nandez wrote:Kikyo isn't a good girl.
I know Kikyo isn't a 'good' girl character. If she were, I wouldn't have said they needed a good girl character to go with Kagome. o.OArigatomina wrote:The only reason she's there is because Kikyo is to Kagome what Sesshoumaru is to Inuyasha, and they needed a second 'good girl' to even out the adult team.

Too many 'shes' being used. ^_^; I was complaining about Sango. The only reason they added Sango is because Sango is a 'good' girl. They already had Kikyo, but there wasn't any hope of Kikyo being good, so they had to add another girl (Sango) to go with Kagome.Nandez wrote:I misunderstood it because of the way you said it.Saying that they added a second good girl made it sound like you were talking about Kikyo since she Kagome showed up first.

*coughs* I actually like the Sango and Kohaku -ness of the series. But they don't further it or at least put it to an end or whatnot?! That'll drive me nuts, 'cause... Well, to tell the truth, after ep 50 or so, I just got bored and only tuned in when Sesshomaru had to actually do something for Rin, even though he hates it or if it had to deal with Sango and Kohaku.
Inu Yasha and Kagome get tiring after a while, so does Miroku and Sango 'falling' in love. I mean, it's cute 'n at, but... To me, it seems a bit forced. It's like those stupid fanfics where the fangirl pairs ev'ryone up with someone else just 'cause it's all lovey dovey.
Sango's a strong chick, she doesn't need a man! Marry Kilala (Yes, I know it's Kirara, but I'm a half dubbie, AHAHAHA)!! Or marry Kohaku, brother complex. YES! Let's put incest into Inu Yasha, a stereotype it hasn't crossed yet!!

It would be alot better if the gang concluded of Inuyasha,Miroku ,and Kagome like it did before shippo and Sango came along.God Shippo's filler episodes are so lame same goes for Sango. And The other party was of course Sess's party which is fine. With Koga occaisonaly dropping by tot lak to Kagome would make the series better. But its fine like the way it is to.

Im glad there are more Kikyo haters than just me. Some people love Kikyo and it drives me crazy sometimes. I hate everytime she's on the screen helping soliers and they beckon to her like she is royalty.
KIKYO: "How are you feeling?"
SOLDIER: "Fine, priestess Kikyo. Thank you so much yur the best, i lo-"
*Turns off tv*
MYSELF: "Oh shut the hell up!"

I'll never understand people who hate Kikyo unless they're rabid Inuyasha/Kagome fans. (And even then it's like "Shut UP! Obviously they're going to be together, so stop flaming!") Kikyo is just another character and she's a hell of a lot more capable and more interesting than Kagome. Her story is also more interesting than the actually plot of Inuyasha and the same goes with Kagura and Kohaku/Sango. Take away all those pieces and you'll have an even more boring story than previously.
Arigatomina: I agree with mostly everything you pointed out, but..
3) She doesn't realize she loves him until the moment, yes, but that's because she suddenly realizes she can lose him. I think Kagome believed that she'd always have Inuyasha's faith and trust (remember, a lot has happened before this) and the sudden idea that she could lose him so easily hit her. And that thought became so painful it was unbearable and that certain pain is unique to love. That's what I got out of it, anyway.
5) Er.... Kohaku is a HUGE importance to the plot, espically now. (I'm talking about the manga here) And the whole conflict with Sango and Kohaku has been resolved in the manga and it was also resolved in the anime. (Although, of course, not to its entirity... but enough) But I think you're questioning Sango too much as far as her importanace to the plot. Does it matter? She's a character and it's nice to have more than just one female main character, no?

For me it's, like a lot of the people here, there's just a lot of things which keep repeating themselves:
-Miroku's wind tunnel: OK, by this point it's safe to assume whenever you go to use it against one of Naraku's incarnations, those insects are going to show up, right? So why doesn't he put 2 and 2 together and not even attempt it?
on that note
-Naraku...DIE ALREADY!!!: Seriously. Even DBZ at least traded out its villains every so often.
-Maybe it's just me, but these characters are developing far too slowly (if at all.) Most of the time I see them, they've not changed at all from where they were when they started out. Hell, what times they do seem to show signs of developing, they're over it by the time the next episode arc rolls around.
Overall, the show just bugs me because every time I watch it's more of the same. Very rarely is there ever anything done that has a lasting impression on things, and lately it just feels like so much filler.
p.s. Arigatomina -- Thank God, I'm not the only one who's noticed the similar faces (one of the one things that really irritates after a while...)

hey um... does Miroku use that wind tunnel when... um... he get's lonely and can't find someone to "bear his children" ?Heero_Yuy84 wrote: -Miroku's wind tunnel: OK, by this point it's safe to assume whenever you go to use it against one of Naraku's incarnations, those insects are going to show up, right?
