Well, there are many fanfictions out there that provide a sequel of sorts.

The only one that is more or less the "official" (and best) alternate / future story of Neon Genesis Evangelion would be EVA-R:

http://www.eva-r.com

This one picks up after the 26th episode of NGE and presents a very logical direction for the story.

The site also has manga interpretations, multimedia clips (including a 5 minute demo movie using part of the "Episode 41" chapter, Seed of Pain), music to read by, and even a radio play with some clips with Asuka being portrayed by Tiffany Grant.

The site is an official affiliate of ADV Films, with links to ADV merchandise, and is the current home of The Web-Domain of Tiffany Grant, where she posts information and also recently a list of conventions she will be visiting.

It's a site worth going to for any Eva fan. :)

DONT SEE IT! It's just a recap of the series, plus 1/3 of the movie!
Be non-conformist! (Everyone's doing it!)
I guess Max Payne isn't much of a yaoi fan...

It's not just a simple "recap" though.

Many of the scenes are reworked and pretty much everything was re-dubbed (for example, the scene of Shinji entering Rei's entry plug after Operation Yashima is different from the TV show).

It's worth seeing at least once, IMHO. :)

I know, but I accidentally saw it with the first disk and it spoiled the entire series for me XD.

Well obviously you were supposed to see the series first before any of the movies that way you can see the diference in animation and the added scenes, as well as enjoy the movie a lot more
