Looking for some new funny anime

I am really down lately because I recently had jaw surgery and was wondering if anyone knows any really funny anime along the lines of FLCL and excel saga. I am currently still trying to buy the rest of the Excel Saga DVD's but wanted to know if anyone knew of anything else that is really good that could keep my mind off my jaw. Anything like Rune Soldier would be good as well.

if you want something froma few years ago, try Oruchuban Ebichu. i laughed my ass off on that one many,many times.

Nurse Witch Komugi is good for a few laughs. Also, if you liked Excel, might want to check out Puni Puni Poemy.

Yes, laughing is somewhat painful, but as long as I don't fall over backwards from laughter and hit my head on something hard, like a table, I am fine. I just can't watch more then a few episodes one after another, thats all. Anyway thanks alot for the suggestions. I will have to talk to one of my friends and see if I can borrow any of the mentioned series from him. Any other ideas are welcome.
