You know your watching anime when...

As the number of armed villans increases, the likelyhood of anybody actually hitting the hero decreases.

The character with the huge superiority complex still feels drasticly inferior to the hero, despite having won all the fights he's had with him.

There's buckets and buckets of blood. All of it spraying right on to the hero.

When there's normally more than one enemy. (Such as in Sailor Moon. The enimies just keep on coming.)

when a head is cut off and theres a ten foot fountain of blood.

when the main good guy normally starts out as a dangrous loner who thinks killing is alright.

When they turn into cute little chibis everyonce in a while.

a character knows what tank contains gas that will blow up when shot at... EVERY TIME !
