Saiyuki: Good or Bad?
I've heard mixed things of the anime "Saiyuki". Some told me it's great bishounen stuff while others say the plot totally blows. Any thoughts?

The animation is nothing to brag about. There are a lot of still shots with sound effects. While the original character designs are great, there are a lot of parts in the animation where the characters aren't proportioned right.
First five episodes are nothing spectacular, but a lot of character development goes on within the next seventeen episodes.
Personally, I don't think this Saiyuki series should have been a 50 episode series (I can't say anything about Reload and Gunlock since I haven't seen them). The Homura arc felt stretched, in my opinion but Saiyuki is worth watching for the humor and the characters.
