Sorry for my delay; thunderstorms in the local area.
Alright, this question comes from the series Planetes.
While "babysitting" Colin Clifford, son of the INTO Chairman and an ******* extraordinaire (absolutely NO relation -- can't stand this character), the Debris Section are forced to make an unscheduled, undocumented run to a communications satellite. The reason: to pick up an item tethered to the satellite -- an item that Colin Clifford (and some of his "friends") left there on an earlier tour.
THE QUESTION: What was the item to be recovered?

Second question to be served. Get the correct answer to either one to get the thread.
Q1:
This question comes from the series Martian Successor Nadesico -- and is going straight into SPOILER-GARD!

SPOILER-GARD wrote:You might recall the "First Star" pageant, where the winner would become "Captain-For-A-Day" according to the Nadesico's current captain, Yurika Misumaru (although Nergal execs were secretly planning to make the award more permanent). And, during the final tally of votes, it looked like the winner, in a surprise upset, would be Ruri Hoshino . . .
. . . But Ruri-Ruri dropped out (for personal reasons) at the last minute.
THE QUESTION: Who became the winner of the "First Star" pageant (and Captain of the Nadesico), AND what selection method was used to determine the victor?

Number three?
Q1:
This question comes from the short-episode series The Adventures of Mini-Goddess.
You might recall the episode where Gan-chan wants to fly like a bird. With the help of Chibi-Urd and Chibi-Skuld (and Chibi-Belldandy providing the explanations), Gan-chan goes through a series of various aircraft, in what one could call a condensed version of the history of flight. While in a glider (modeled after Otto Lilienthal's design), Gan-chan wants to go faster (AND stop losing altitude). With the push of a button, Skuld transforms the glider into the first airplane (to be specific, heavier-than-air craft powered by its own engine) --
Wait, not so fast, there's something wrong with this airplane, as is first pointed out by Urd (and further explained by Belldandy). Fortunately, Gan-chan survived the crash into the koi pond.
THE QUESTION: What was wrong with the early-model airplane Skuld made for Gan-chan?

No to both -- the early-model airplane Gan-chan was flying had wings, AND it had a running engine so it can't be called a glider.Kitsuner wrote:Wasn't it a glider?
