Kung Fu Fighting s-CRY-ed

Post by HeavyMetal » Wed Jul 27, 2005 11:10 pm

Does anyone know what style Kazuma's fighting is based off?

It has a dance like quality to it. Almost like a Crane dance. So, I thought maybe Kung Fu, but it does not seem to have as much snap to it.

It is half brute force, but I figure the other half has to come from some where.

Chances are good they made it up as they went along. That would it in character, too.

It seems to be neither canpoera nor Kung Fu. I would say its a self taught fighting style. Kazuma is a character that wouldn't take martial art lessons. The spinning motion was probably picked up from

I figured, at least in part, that it was made up. However, most manga and anime artist base their movements off some form of martial arts. If only a little.

A lot of art books and schools will even cover fighting in part.

Maybe Thai kick boxing with street fighting punches.
