Favorite Fruits Basket Character

Defintely Haru. A lot of the characters in the show are great, but Haru is just plain hot. And he's really cool.

I am a Yuki fan. The reason that I like him is because I can relate to his character more than the others. I could relate to his feeling of being trapped in the world of his family and trying to escape. The way he tries to satisfy everyone at school so he won't cause conflicts and avoid being hated by people there hit home for me. Despite all the drama he still has some inner niceness about him that Tohru wonderfully lets out. That character development I was very interesting in. Unfortunately Kyo kind of overshadowed Yuki so he was left behind a bit during the later half of the show. The fact that this happen makes me like Yuki more cause he seemed like an underdog by then. Don't get me wrong I like Kyo as well but his problems seemed like they weren't as deep and psychological as Yuki's. All Kyo needs is someone who accepts him and a little anger management. Yuki seems like he needs trust, confidence, love, and acceptance among other things. This is why I see myself in Yuki. Perhaps it's made me Yuki biased.

(Okay, let's set up rules for this... say who your favorite character is, and WHY you like them... maybe this'll spread to more discussions of characters.)

I've got two favorites: Kyo and the Cow-guy (I can't remember his name, I haven't seen it in two years).

Kyo's just hilarious, and has a deeper characterization than most of the others; and the Cow-guy? I just have to give kudos to him for having the hootzpa to do what he did the first time he showed up at school:
Class President: I won't rest 'til I PROVE that isn't your real hair color!
(Cow-guy pulls him into the boys' bathroom)
Yuki: Did he just... HE'S NOT...
(Bathroom door opens)
Class President: ... there are many strange things in this world...
Everyone: WHAT DID YOU JUST DO!!!???

Good idea. Too bad there's not an edit button! So tell your favorite character, and WHY yo like them. Oh, by the way, the cow-dude is Haru!

I would say that Kyo would be my most favorite character because it is cute how hw hides his feeling for Honda and Kisa because she is so little and cute. She is somewhat like Rin from Inuyahsa.

My favorite fruits basket character is Kyo(u) for the following reasons:

(1) He's a cat...

(2) I think he's the cutest chibi bisshy:

Tohru, all her facial expressions when she's like.. surprised or something are funny..

and Kyo.. b/c he's of the year of the cat.... just like me(in the vietnamese version of the zodiac).. i like his whole anger attitude and stuff.. and that he can try to control it... seems pretty hilarious sometimes..

and there's shigure.. ha.. the novelist dude.. so optimistic and stuff..
