Just for the record, "Ninety percent of everything is crud" is known as
Sturgeon's Law. It was first written by science fiction author Theodore Sturgeon on the topic of SF and whether most of it is bad. As it is. As is most of everything else.
The point is not to get worked up in a lather about it, but find the fraction that is (as Otohiko aptly put it) worth your time and not bother with the rest. It's not a big deal.
Saying "there's too much anime" is like saying "there are too many movies"; it doesn't make any sense to me.
