What are your favorite anime characters and why?

My favorite is Kurama from Yuu Yuu Hakusho.

My reason being is that he is so smart, and is such a gentleman. He shows up every guy on what a real gentleman is suppose to be. I guess its just the type of girl I am that I like gentlemen. I have other reasons why I like this character, but I think I'll just keep those to myself for now.

Just let out your opinions to why you like the anime character that you do. I'd be glad to hear about them.

Guts from Berserk.

Hes been through so much in his life, hatred, despair, loneliness, insanity, pain and loss of loved ones. His life shaped him to be a strong man, but underneath that hes kind and caring.

Eheh. Call me a fangirl all you want, but one of my favorites is Uchiha Sasuke. He has such a traumatic past..yet, until a certain point, he seems to care a good bunch about his teammates.
Also Tatsunosuke from Peacemaker Kurogane. Funny little midget.

Show: Blood The Last Vampire
She's everything I picture a huntress to be: cold, aggressive, agile, relentless, and is the best at what she does for a living.

Character: Sumomo
Show: Chobits
She's so cute and adorable, you can't help but smile when seeing the little persecom.

Character: Alucard
Show: Hellsing
He kills all down falls of the vampire race with a smile on his face. how can you not love it?

Character: Lain
Show: Lain: Serial Experiment
Quiet and invisible like what many people see in God. Silent but always watching.

Not to mention he's a complete badass that kills demons with their own horns. He probably rides dinosaurs and eats nails in his off time, but that's just a guess.
