Anyway, my brother can't shut up about this movie, and I can't be bothered to watch it. There's a far-too-disproportionate amount of noise generated by it right now. What I've seen of it can be described as 'cool', but having never played the FF games (and thus having no nostalgia about them), along with having a strange sense of affinity for the laws of physics, I yet remain to be properly impressed by what it has to offer.

To be watched when all the noise dies down a bit.

O_o man, this thread is goin out of control. I saw the movie Subbed, it was pretty good, as far as animation and the fight scenes, but its not the greatest. I enjoyed it, but its not completely good like everyone says it is, it really depends on your tastes, and/or if you're a total FF fanatic or not. Personally, it did kinda suck, but the fight scenes and animation were amazing at least.

I disliked the ending to a degree myself. Cloud and Tifa... Damnit dude are you dumb!!!

But Advent Children pretty much is just FF meets Matrix. Nonsensical and shouldn't be taken seriously, but can still be enjoyed for what it is...

The movie was ok... interestign to say the least.

All this arguing over downloading stuff is a bit pointless... so as to not link us in the AMV community to favoring such things (for strong legal footing) it's prefered that if you have a pro-DLing opinion keep it to yourself. It's okay to be a hypocrite here -- so don't bother legitimizing it to anyone else, the majority of those who care, are willing to turn the other cheek and not step on your toes as long as you don't go shouting your ideals from the mountain tops.

And Aerith stole her FMV scenes (watch after the credits in AC to see how).

And I agree, I enjoyed it for what it was- fanservice for FF7 fans, not the "movie of a lifetime that will change your existence", which I think some people were expecting it to be.
