And Aerith stole her FMV scenes (watch after the credits in AC to see how).

And I agree, I enjoyed it for what it was- fanservice for FF7 fans, not the "movie of a lifetime that will change your existence", which I think some people were expecting it to be.
It may not be "movie of a lifetime that will change your existence", but it is groud breaking for wat can be done in a 3D movie. The visuals are breath taking, and I bet that no one expected the action to be so incredible. I think that if this movie becomes famous it coud be the standar for later movies, just like the Matrix was seven years ago. Thats why we have to buy at least 2 copies when it comes out.
Is there anything you need, anything at all, just come to me. Ill be your gardian angel

Oh no, I definitely agree, the CG was probably the most impressive I have seen, and the fights > the Matrix. Trust me, this is my favorite movie, b/c I'm a huge FF7 fan. I was referring to it not being the "movie of a lifetime" in terms of plot, etc- while I thought it was good, it's targeted towards a very niche group.

I liked the film, but it was a bit short I think. I'd say the only thing that thought was really bad was the music. I was expecting something better comming from Nobuo Uematsu, but he disappointed me with a less than memorable rocked out theme throughout the film.

When you've got a game that basically introduced console rpgs to the entire Western world, you tend to expect certain things. Just take a look at the crucifixation of Spirits Within...

That's the one that did it for me :) Red slime ownz j00!

FFVII was a big milestone in opening up console RPGs to a more mainstream audience, though. Maybe that's what he meant.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.
