And what 'uses' do you propose for anime, dear sir or madman?
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Bluntly: No.

The shows are quite different overall. It's not quite like comparing Dogtato vs Macross Zero, but for all intensive purposes you might as well be since they have nothing to do with the other.

Give 'em time...mark my words, once Bleach is licensed/available in the US...

(...Hell...maybe before that...lack of R1s certainly didn't slow Naruto up any.)

The Bleach manga is in the US... And I must say. I didn't really care for the series, but I just read vol 1-4. I'd say it's defintely worth it. The characters are awesome, especially Chad. XD Nothing can beat the coolness of Chad.

It has a nice sense of comedy, drama, and the main characters all have depth. Of course, no clue what Rukia (?) or anything she does, but I'm sure that'll be explained.

Congratulations, you've discovered the formula for shounen anime/manga. :P

That aside, Bleach is pretty entertaining, provided that you take it for what it is. Fun, over-the-top action. The pacing is decent when compared to others in its genre and the characters are likeable. Not useless at all, in my opinion.

Amen. I wouldn't want Bleach to be labeled like another DBZ... That's what Naruto is for...

I can go into full detail on the differences between DBZ and Bleach, but I don't feel like doing it for the 20th time. When I used to watch DBZ, I used to think "cool, cool! Who's gonna fight who next!?". I was retarded back then to be blunt. When I watch Bleach, I think "wow, how the f@#% does this author create a detailed story for every damn character?.....and who's gonna fight who next!?". Main thing I love about Bleach is how all the characters have a detailed story that is left with openings that begin to become more and more filled each episode. DBZ? Let's just say I still don't know why those dots were on Krillin's head "waits for someone to explain it without knowing that I don't care anymore".
