To me it looked really really cool at first, and still kinda does a bit. As I watch it more and more however I am starting to get the whole "It's like DBZ with swords" feeling. I still like it but i think it is getting kinda stale rather quickly. We've all see the "Let's get to the next power level" bit done before.

True, I really loved Bleach before they went into Soul Society. I was comparing it's story to the likes of Full Metal Alchemist. I was really pissed when the Soul Society arc started at first cause it looked way too much like Yu-yu-hakusho and Kenshin put together, but the story was so good that I soon started to like it as much as the first 20 episodes. Every Captain has an amazing story and it just keeps getting better. When Aizen was stabbed ::spoiler:: I was really surprised and thought it was gay that his story was barely developed. Then I found out he was still alive, and he's a bad guy....I was a little surprised.....then told my friend to stop telling me everything "that bastard!"angelx03 wrote:Bleach was definetely cool to watch before that whole entering Soul Society bit. Then after that, I was kind of wondering whether I should continue it.

lol! No, no! Don't think of it that way, please! I believe the story is better than Kenshin's and Hakusho's....that's the big reason I like Bleach better.claude213 wrote:Yu-yu-hakusho and Kenshin put together........
almost perfect to explain it
Rurounikeitaro thank you
I heard from Inverse that she thinks Bleach is too cliched as in it has many ideas stolen from other animes. Whatever, Bleach is still my favorite fighting shounen "GTO is my fav, but they don't really fight." Even if they did copy some stuff, Bleach is doing it better overall.

I don't remember saying that Bleach stole ideas from other animes, but I do think it's cliche because the plot is predictable and the characters don't seem that special. There's not much for character development - the main character is just a tough guy who gets tougher. When I compare it to animes like YYH, HxH and Naruto, I find that Bleach is missing something. This is just my opinion though, I don't mean to criticize.Rurounikeitaro wrote:I heard from Inverse that she thinks Bleach is too cliched as in it has many ideas stolen from other animes.
I did enjoy the first few episodes, but I just got bored with it once the "Rescue Rukia" part started.
I still like Hitsugaya ;P

exactly. Everytime a new episode of bleach comes out I have to watch it the same day. Its exciting to see, and right now imo(because of the next 26 weeks of filler) its better than Naruto.Rurounikeitaro wrote:When I watch Bleach, I think "wow, how the f@#% does this author create a detailed story for every damn character?.....and who's gonna fight who next!?". Main thing I love about Bleach is how all the characters have a detailed story that is left with openings that begin to become more and more filled each episode.
Oh god, that black dude with the afro is always making those damn trash ass music hip hop amvs...he needs to do something with techno or rock....

Oh, I didn't know exactly what you meant by cliched....at least you know people read your journal .*inverse* wrote:I don't remember saying that Bleach stole ideas from other animes, but I do think it's cliche because the plot is predictable and the characters don't seem that special. You are right though. The plot is becoming a little predictable but I think that's gonna change very soon "at least in the next 10 eps."
