I've read the shonen manga and saw the movie. I'd like to see the series, but it isn't on TV.

Haven't seen hide nor hair of the shojo manga, either.

Van from the manga isn't my idea of a good date, but Van from the movie is seriously cool! Winged bishies rock! (Though I don't know that he quite, technically speaking, qualifies as a bishie.)

First off, I terribly sorry you had to read that poor excuse for a manga. THe movie is cool. The series however is entirely different. I mean total one-eighty. Van still has his wings and Escaflowne is still there. But the personalities are totally different. One Allen is a Knight. Yeah, but good someone else has heard of my beloved Escaflowne. Oh adn save yourself the anguish. Don't look for it on TV. It has been butchered.

I would date Squall too in a heart beat (I just didn't know we could list video games). In that case also add to my list Fayt of Star Ocean. Such a beautiful man. oh and since you are wondering up there, Van definitely counts as a bishonen ^_^ (mmm....wings...sleeveless..or shirtless now that I think about it)
