Well, if you count Sailor Moon, I started anime at the age of four or five. If you don't count it, then it would be Fushigi Yuugi when I was seven. I am now nearly eighteen, so it's been thirteen to fourteen years since I started. Yay.
Dragons can be good or bad. Care to guess which path I follow?

My 'first' was Kimba the White Lion about age 3-4 (circa 1970)

The first that I actually began to identify as Japanese (Japanamation was the word back then) was Speed Racer about 1971-72.

I was also a nick jr kid so my first exposure was around 4 years old. (Mysterious Cities of Gold anyone?) The time I actually watched anime and knew that it was anime was when I was between 12 and 13. Good old channel 62 played "japanimation" around midnight so I stayed up late watching the anime movies. Not too long after, Sailor Moon aired with Apollo Smile dressed up as Sailor Moon on channel 26 for that moon marathon. It was then I saw Rei Hino become Sailor Mars and I basically got hooked.

Besides the usual Pokemon stuff/etc, I first saw episodes of Lupin III and Trigun the summer after my sophomore year in high school.

Chocolove: Maybe we'd be better off without friends.
