Good News for GTO/Tohru Fujisawa Fans...

If you've been feeling deprived of exposure to Eikichi Onizuka since volume 25 of the GTO manga, Tokyopop has licensed the prequel (well, techically, GTO was the sequel to it) Shonan Junai-gumi in its latest slew of manga license acquisitions:

Tokyopop has added sections to its website for for five new manga, one new manhwa and one OEL title.

Beyond the Beyond by Yoshitomo Watanabe
Legend of "Zipangu" BLOOD SUCKER by Aki Shimizu
Platinum Garden by Maki Fujita
Secret Chaser by Tamayo Akiyama
Shonan Junai-gumi by Toru Fujisawa

Angel Cup by Jae-ho Young (manhwa)
Dogby Walks Alone by Wes Abbott (OEL)

According to Tokyopop's website, these titles will be released on June 13.

THEAHTHKAHDKHKAFH!! WHAAAAA!! What the fu#$!! I'm confused as hell! The prequel?!?! How come I didn't know about this shit!! Holy f#@#!! "Begins searching all over the net for information."

My favorite anime has a prequel in the manga and I had no damn clue about it?!?! I gotta smack the crap outta myselves about 18 times for my age, and 1 for good luck.

The Onizuka saga goes like this:

Bad Company (1 vol) ---> Shonan Junai-gumi (31 vols) ---> GTO (25 vols)

Shonan Junai-gumi isn't a prequel; GTO is a sequel.

Thanks for the info but I've found out everything.

Shonan Junai-gumi is the manga of Onizuka in Highschool when he starts his gang and stuff. Hangs out with Ryuji and Saijime from GTO too. Started in 1990 ended in 1996 with 31 mangas around 180 pages each

Bad Company is a prequel to Shonan Junai-gumi that came out in 1997. It's only one volume but it's some really good shit!! "I read it the past couple days" It shows how Onizuka and Ryuji met which was really bad-ass and how Onizuka got his Motorcycle.

GTO "Great Teacher Onizuka" started in 1999 but actually had an anime adaption unlike the others in 2000. Show was amazingly popular "in Japan at least" and had a live drama thing made of it and was also the # 1 selling manga in Japan.....EVVVVAAAAAAAA!!

I just love saying that #1 selling thing everytime!
