I do not seem to understand. Many people complain about how stupid anime shows such as InuYasha and Wolf's Rain are so stupid. I personally like them but I do not see what is wrong with them. A guy from the internet talked about how he was comparing Evangelion to anime series such as Naruto. Complaining about how childish anime series are starting to get. But, he doesn't seem to understand there are more, less popular, titles out there. Such as E's Otherwise, Elfen Lied, and Melody of Oblivion. (Just naming only three. I just don't get people these days!

I'll humor you with my two cents:

Ok....what's the problem? As I understand it, some people do think some anime shows are stupid. That's their problem, not yours. If you enjoy an anime, watch it. There is nothing wrong with the anime you watch. You like, you watch it. Not everyone it going to watch the exact same anime as everyone else. Sometimes comparing anime can be unfair but I like I said 2 people can debate about which anime is better, but honestly, it's just their opinion. And I don't believe anime is getting childish. Some English dubs may be, but original Japanese anime aren't.

I used to not like anime. They seemed poorly drawn and stupid. But then I discovered reall anime and the more mature ones. I love Inu-Yasha, Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Alchemist, and others now. But at first I had a bad impression of anime series.

It's all just a matter of opinion. I like animes from all different genre's and consider them awsome.

I watch it too...also watch GX when I can. You're not alone.

People watch what they want to watch. The very small group of people I know who like anime all have very diverse tastes. We never agree on what's the best, or the worst...but we do agree that we love it as a whole.

If this person doesn't like anime, or thinks it's childish, that's their opinion. Yours is different, and that's ok. Watch what you want to, and quit letting the nay-sayers push your buttons. That's my advice.
