Ultimate Hellsing OVA
Anyone seen the first episode? Its available.. though some ways I wont say but should be obvious.
First impressions well, if you have watched the origional series (which you can get anywhere) and watch this without reading the manga you will have a brain hemorrhage. I have browsed over the manga and from what I've seen its spot on.
More blood, more gore, more action and the story is true, the story is faithfull and the cencors are going to have themselves a field day when it gets released on DVD.
Thoughts, Comments?

Re: Ultimate Hellsing OVA
Wait, you're saying that it'll get more censored in its transition from TV to DVD? I thought Japanese TV was often the opposite. IIRC the last episode of Excel Saga wasn't shown on TV and instead went straight to the DVD since it was considered 'a bit too much'.CerebralAssamite wrote: More blood, more gore, more action and the story is true, the story is faithfull and the cencors are going to have themselves a field day when it gets released on DVD.

Sucks if true though.

Yeah chances are they would censor it for dvd, if it's not already censored, lol. Gantz S1 on Japan tv was only 11 episodes because they censored out 40 minutes of footage, but the dvd's were 13 uncut episodes.
But to bring this back on Hellsing. Haven't seen it yet, but I can't wait to, the trailer I saw at a con in August looked wicked, I hope it is more like the manga like you're saying.

I'm curious; is this a continuation of the series, or is it like AMGTV (stand-alone starting from the beginning, sticking more closely this time around) ?

I plan on remaking mine, since I got a request to do so (and you listen to requests from the band that you used in your AMV )angelx03 wrote:It's in that format only in OVA (a.k.a. If that's the case, I wonder how many people are going to "remake" all those Hellsing videos.
On a side note, what does OVA actually stand for? Never was really sure of that.

So they're restarting the story? Hmmm...
*now can't help but wonder if this means we'll get an animated version of the aborted duel between Anderson and Alucard in the museum*
...sorry, that scene amused the Hell out of me.
*tourists leave*
"Alucard?"
"Yeah?"
"...I'm not feeling this anymore."
"Me either, I'm going."
