hinata and neji

oki! first are these two cousin's?! because my friend read soething off a site that says they are not family related just related by clan

so i'm just asking if this is true or they really are cousin and such...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------and if this thing does get locked down i really don't care at the moment i only want an answer...plus i went through like at least 10 pages and all i see were locked pages.....kinda over doing the locked thing just a bit

It wouldn't get locked because it's been answered before... It might get locked because this isn't a naruto fan site and there are already too many damn questions pertaining to the show here as it is.

And to answer your question; clans are large (often inbred) extended families. So "cousin" of some sort is assured. In fact they're probably cousins on several different levels. Directly, their fathers are twin brothers.

Wait... WHAT!? How the hell is that possible!? I thought Neji and Hinata were from different branches of the family tree - Hinata being the main and highest family, and Neji from one of the "subordinate" families - thus Neji's hatred for his cousin.

I don't want this to go on any longer than it needs to, but how can their fathers be TWINS and still have this familial feud?

there was no real family feud the hatred is because neji's father was put to death instead of hinatas father because of the clan traditions.

...so i have another question...if hinata and neji were to go as a couple would they be like those people in angel sanctuary, brother likes the sister, (but in this case "cousin" and "cousin") or just a weird couple relationship??

In order to prevent necroposting, the threads that were inactive for more than 1 (or 2 I don't remember) months get locked automatically.

If their fathers were twins, that means logically that they have the same grandparents. The alternate father would be an uncle, making the sons/daughters first cousins, right? Or is that second?

Out of a morbid curiosity I looked up the laws and stats on this. It is surprisingly more common than I'd have thought. I still think it's sort of weird... but that's me.

More to the point: Why do you want to know? It's not like they've shown an interest in each other in the show, or that manga that I've seen.
