It's possible that Hinata and Neji could be ARRANGED to marry, but I think either would have the right to call it off if they saw fit to (apparently in Japan they can call off arranged marriages, but it isn't common to do so because of their ultra-religious devotion to family... word of advice guys, they ain't family if they use you for their own desires!)

Apparently not as much as you'd figure. A little googling shows that the actual chances of that happening are something like 2% assuming there are no other pre-existing genetic disorders.Tainted_Eden wrote:They'd NEED to call it off. Still... it'll never happen since she's destined for Naruto in the first place.

Your earth logic makes my brain hurt! *bashes* Okay, so they wouldn't be screwed up, but how can she be destined for Naruto if she doesn't even TELL him anything?! She blushes, whoo. Yeah, Naruto (who had a thick head) will TOTALLY get the hints. XD

I have to admit, I'd REALLY rather see Naruto with Hinata, but you have to ask yourself: do you really expect Naruto to LIVE long enough for him to get the hint?
That, and having just read chapter 296, I have to say, Sakura FINALLY GETS IT! Gee, it only took her three years for her to realize just how much of a selfish tart she's been! Oh, wow, you didn't realize this earlier, girly, that the guy who's openly admitted to liking you has bent over backwards to try and bring back the guy you "love" so much (mind you a guy that shows no interest in you at all) that he's actually been consumed by a demon, just to make you happy!? Great way to treat your best friend!
It really amazes me; Naruto, after getting his ass handed to him by Sasuke, wakes up, and the VERY first thing he thinks is "I let Sakura down." Yet somehow little-miss-Sasuke-fangirl barely notices how much he's allowed himself to be messed up for her sake.
I'd be happy to see Naruto finally get Sakura, especially after all this, because he really DOES deserve to be happy; but I really do think that Hinata's much better for him. Although Naruto seems really selfish and coneited at first, you really begin to realize just how selfless he is; Hinata's just as kind, and accepted Naruto as is from the very beginning. He deserves to be smacked with a mallet for chasing after Sakura without noticing how Hinata feels, but it does take him some time to realize how people feel about him, so we can SORT of forgive him. Still, what he does to Hinata is no where NEARLY as bad as what Sakura does to him.

Perdón yo para el poste doble, but something just accured to me:
What IF Hinata actually admitted she liked Naruto? Would he:
A) become confused as to whom he likes, Sakura or Hinata?
B) almost immediately and completely forget about Sakura romantically
C) reject her right there, as painlessly as possible, sticking to his infatuation with Sakura?
From a writer's standpoint, A seems like an immediate reaction on his standpoint, with B as an "I Wish" that comes later, after a lot of thought on his part, but with C as the most probable outcome given the nature of the story.

T_T OHM. I'm sorry, but no. Hinata and Naruto have had barely more than 20 words interaction together. And from what I've seen, Naruto kinda abandoned his feelings for Sakura a long time ago (when Sasuke first woke up and Sakura pretty much engulfed him in a hug). He had a look on his face that read 'Well, I guess I have to give up'. And from then on, him and Sakura have developed a very deep friendship. They act more like brother and sister...EmilLang1000 wrote:Perdón yo para el poste doble, but something just accured to me:

From what I've read, I think Naruto's doing this now for both Sasuke and Sakura. Yes, Sakura is a bit selfish, but I trully think that her obsession with Sasuke is ALL the fault of Kishimoto. I mean, this character goes through an AMAZING amount of character development, yet the ONLY thing that she hasn't had any development on is that damn Sasuke (same goes for Naruto; Sai pretty much spells out exactly what Sasuke is, yet neither of the leaf-nin are willing to admit it).
Truthfully, now I'm against this, but I think Naruto likes Sasuke the same way Sakura likes him. NOW BEFORE YOU JUMP ON ME, here are my reasons:
1) With the exception of the Gaara arc, Naruto has been constantly thinking about Sasuke (Of course, Sakura was thinking about Sasuke even during the whole Gaara thing).
2) Naruto and Sakura were talking about Sai, and Sakura said that Sai's face and voice sound a lot like Sasuke. Naruto replies, and this is IN CANON, "Yeah right! They don't look anything alike! Sasuke looks tons better... Err, no wait... He doesn't look as bad I mean!" Oo; Now then, explain to me why Naruto is correcting himself... (*doesn't ship NaruSasu by the way*)
3) Naruto is willing to allow himself to be engulfed by the VERY thing that threatened the lives of the entire Fire country, to kill Orochimaru to get to Sasuke.
Now if that isn't something to admire, I don't know what is. Hinata hasn't said a word to Naruto, who is thick brained. If she DID openly reveal her feelings, I think Naruto would totally be floored that someone had liked him. And since dating doesn't seem to exist in the realm of Anime, he'll turn her down 'cause he doesn't want to hurt her. He thinks of her as a friend, as with the other shinobi of Konoha.
I don't know about you, but as of right now, Naruto doesn't have any time/emotional stability to even think of love at this moment. His mind is constantly thinking about Sasuke 'cause of everything Sai said, he's battling the Kyuubi's chakra right now, PLUS he has to worry about if he hurt anyone 'cause you KNOW he's gonna be panicking about that.
But yeah. It would be nice for Naruto to have someone nice to be with. So if Hinata finally gets some credit to her fighting skills(I mean, she DID face off Neiji, but that can only do so much) and possibly more self esteem, then yeah, Naruto would probably love and respect her more so than how he loves and respects Sakura.
