Gunparade March: Stock Japanese anime, giant insect like aliens are taking over the world, Giant mechas piloted by school kids are all that stands between us and them. Shy boy pilot thrown in with pretty girl pilot, they don't get along.....or will they? Cute action story, fair to good animation, the dub is acceptable. It isn't a great classic but is pretty good entertainment. Twelve episodes, upbeat ending, some decent drama and humor. You can get this for a good price at best buy, get some popcorn and soda, it's worth spending an evening watching.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

I finished Neon Genesis Evangelion yesterday. Though many people did not like the ending of it...I kind of did  It just made me think. I just started watching Outlaw Star.

Just started watching a new show that's still airing in Japan: Tactical Roar. Unfortunately, so far it's a shallow piece of naval harem anime with hamfisted fanservice and cel-shaded CGI ships. One fan who skipped ahead to an unsubbed episode 9 said it doesn't get any better.

Aside from that, I'm indulging in some Mazinkaiser, Combattler V and Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo. Then there's the entire runs of Majiranger (now hitting the US as Power Rangers Mystic Force), Dekaranger (Power Rangers SPD), Kamen Rider Blade and Kamen Rider 555.

I finished watching Air today.

Seriously, I'm pretty sure the writers at Key just said "I know! Let's take the viewers' hearts, rip them out, throw them on the ground and stomp on them!"

Not that it was a bad series. In fact, it was excellent. It's made my favorites list. It's just that it's really sad.
