A long awaited Question for Myself

Raxephon, probably one of my most favorite Animes ever. And like most of the Anime's I fall in love with, the ending leaves me speechless.

What does the ending mean? The time space and it's destruction in the end explains how and why the girl loved him long ago, and the age difference?

Both were good. I have a biased opinion to Rahxephon because I enjoyed the sequence of mythology a little better.
