Character development in Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children

I know it just came out in English a couple days ago but I work part time with Square Enix so I got see it a while ago. I was wondering what people thought about the character development of Cloud and Tifa? It seems like the development of both characters, especially Tifa, is sacrificed for the sake of action and visual impact.

Don't get me wrong I thought the movie was amazing and the attention to detail was incredible. I think in the same way that Final Fantasy 7 set the standard for 3D RPG's Advent Children sets the standard for CG movies.

Character development wasn't really needed as it was done in the game. The video was marketed towards those that played FF7, so it was assumed everyone knew enough and was ready for eye-candy.

It's all eyecandy, but it was fun eyecandy. I got the Japanese release of it; not off the net (unless you count buying it from a site on the net! XP). It really doesn't have character developement, but it shows back on a few relationships and events from the past. It's mean't for the sake of the miniplot though, so yeah.. > >

It's actually because her other size was unrealistic, and this is a realistic movie, so of course they aren't as big.. > >

Sure her boobs got smaller, but even in the movie, her chest in terms of human shape, size, and volume are still on the bagoing side of sexy chests...

I personally feel that they should make a movie (no need for character development) where it stars tifa and only tifa, fighting the bad guys and just bouncing around... that would be awsome.
