Naruto is one of my favorite animes. for those of you who only watched the first few episodes, or didn't read much of the manga, you should really check it out further on. It only gets better as it goes. Check out the recommended amv forum, they recommend some cool naruto amvs and they really express the animes most awsome features.

Saikano is my favorite anime but theyre right... it does get better as you go on. The first few eps are kinda blah, but after that its alright, I like it mostly for the humor, like rock lees ridiculous crush on sakura, sakura and inos fight over sasuke, chojis always eating something and hes a coward (unless you call him fat), naruto is just a complete moron to no end,,, its a comedy for me. Actually its categorized as a martial arts comedy, now that Ive checked.

I read Naruto, having no cable really puts a hamper on my Naruto watching ability, especially when there are anime I like more to buy, so I've only watched one episode dubbed (and about 20 subbed). It's good though.

Ive seen up to episode 150 and read up to chapter 307

while the manga stays good.

The anime flat out sucks. It doesnt get better with time, it just becomes filler after filler after filler.

The important characters (which so far only seem to be the idiot savant naruto and the emo pussy bitch Sasuke) are totally one sided. Naruto never changes he always stays the practically mental challenge doofus, his only change in the manga is after the 3 year period where he comes back a little bit stronger and a massive pervert.
While sauske remains a stupid whiney emo pussy bitch through out all of it, including after the 3 year period it seems.

so in response to your statement, no it doesnt get better if you watch more.
