Yes I cried, and it felt really good actually:
Naruto - Rock Lee vs. Gaara, when Naruto heard Rock Lee couldn't be saved
Love Hina - The last ep
Love Hina Again - The last ep, the climax
Dragonball Z/GT - aaaalmost cried at the very end of the whole series.
Fruits Basket - the last ep
Full Metal Alchemist - ep 25 ; ep 13 and 37, because of laughing
Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu: almost every ep because of laughing
Hikaru no Go - I think it was ep 60
What memories, crying can be good

Grave of the Fireflies- The ending.
Chobits- The last episode. But those were tears of joy.
Saikano- i read the manga and I was like oh! no!
Shirahime-Syo: It's a manga by CLAMP but I started to bust out into tears!
X/1999- When they killed Kotori and When Subaru goes into Kamuis mind, and when they killed Inuki.

Hah ^^ for me its almost the other way around. In most cases. When I see for example Pirates of the Carabean and see Orlando Bloom (the fag) Sorry I cant really conect to him emotionally because I have seen him in for example in Lotr or Troy. In those three movies they did little to change his looks. So when ever I watch Pirates of the caribbean I think. "Oki its the guy from Troy... Thats nice. hmm... I liked him alot better in Troy because then I actually got to se him get humiliated in public (Have I told you I hate him?) Sorry . Meh..."gangstaj8 wrote: Is this making sense to anyone else? It makes perfect sense in my mind. All I'm really trying to say is this: I don't connect as well with an animated character as I do with a live action actor, emotionally. And it has nothing to do with my level of fatigue. I think I'll shut up now and let you good people have your forum back.
This problem allmost never exist in anime (exept for maby Oh! My goddes, Onegai Sensei and love hina where it seems like Keitaro is starring in them all. Osaka (Azumanga) allso has a part in paranoia agent. But in most cases the characters in anime cant be connected with another character in another anime as faar as looks go...
But then I have'nt taken in to account bad acting and such.
Some people, atleast my anime hating friends would call it absurd that I have been able to shed tears in an anime but not in a live action movie... Well There is one non anime film I have cried in and that is Disneys Lion King when I watched it in the sinemas. I dont bother putting up a spoiler mark for this (If you havent seen it yet you prolly never will) but it was when Mofasa died. And I am gonna make a futile effort to justefy it by saying I was 7 years old then.
All I'm really trying to say is this: I don't connect as well with an live action actor as I do with a animated character , emotionally. (in most cases) ^^
I'm not so smart. I just stay with the problem a little longer ---- Einstein

Well, I tend to agree with you there buddy.Odi wrote:

Having seen an actor perform badly in one movie might definately incite emotional distance.
But let's be honest, if the movie is good, one gets absorbed in it no matter who's acting. Look at the Matrix part 1 for example (well after all, Keanu did a load of sh*** movies).
Anyways, Enjoy the fun
