Anime series, Death Note has been confirmed!

Japanese bookstore Chuosha has announced that Yuuki Obata's romance manga Bokura ga Ita and Tsugumi Ohba & Takeshi Obata's Death Note manga will both be adapted into anime television series.

Bokura ga Ita will premier on July 3rd. The Death Note anime series will premier this fall.

I wonder if Death Note is going to be animated by Kyoto Animation since they made a cameo in Full Metal Panic:TSR which is also animated by them.

Have you read any of the Death Note mangas? My friends keep trying to get me to read them. I will I just don't have time. *tear Umm is the anime version of Death Note any good. Sorry I am new to anime so i might sound like a complete idiot. I apoligize.

it will be the most boring anime since detective conan.... 3/4 of it is mearly people thinking, the other 1/4 is people scribbling on paper, watching moniters, or people dying of heart attacks with no blood at all....

The first half of the series was pretty good... fairly suspenseful. But after they introduced Near and Mellow, and then jump like 3 years later, the story went downhill.

BTW, the ending of Death Note was crap.

Hm... I want to see it but somehow the idea of Death Note as an anime doesn't sound so appealing. The manga is awesome but I dunno... Death Note just doesn't seem like it's meant to be an anime. (Don't get me wrong though, I LOVE Death Note as you can see by my avatar)
