Bebop had some weird shit like that thing in the fridge,

Desert Punk doesn't really go anywhere until about the end(that im still waiting to see) but was sarcasticly funny.

Dead Leaves was another good anime that had was weird as hell, kinda reminds of a space adventure with Haruko & Canti.

As for the most pointlessly weird comedy thats can be very random noone else said *Drumroll* Super Milk Chan!

and speaking of PA, what was the deal with the three people trying to die, when the girl screamed at the picture she took with them, it completely threw me off.

A couple more picks.

Kakurenbo. Very well done cg anime, hide and seek with demons. It's only 30 minutes but well worth it.

Petshop of Horrors: Several very wierd horror stories based around an exotic pet store.

Malice@ Doll: This is the most trippy, drug induced anime I have ever seen. All cg and a very strange story. I did an amv, Malice@Wonderland to the music White Rabbit, check it out if you want to see some of the artwork.

Memories: Three good and strange stories, Magnetic Rose is the one I like best.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

Come and join us on the tiny but fun forum at http://www.allanime.org

Err? Nanami-cow is an in-joke, yeah. "Be true to yourself and break out of the walls you build around yourself" is, you know, the point of both series and movie. Except one does it with swordfights, and the other with car chases. :p

Well, it's just that the movie is a super boiled-down, freaking goofy version of the series. The overall message might be serious, but really...she turns into a car.

Okaaay....

Anyway, it is undoubtedly a strange movie, which is what the topic was originally about. I think that can be agreed upon.

Not sure what you're really comparing there. I still stand by the fact that that the plot, as a whole, is goofy, even if there is a serious underlying message.

But, yes, the movie is strange, nonetheless. :P
