Can anyone recall some anime suicide scenes?

The only one I can think of that hasnt been mentioned so far was in the Animatrix in "Kid's Story". It centers around a teen killing himself to escape from the virtual world. It's a pretty prolonged part where he actually does it, too.

Two more options (...not sure if these are what you'd have in mind, but since you did ask)

Macross Plus - In the final episode, one of Sharon's managers (the guy who had the military programming installed in her) throws himself off of the Macross (...granted he's kind of brainwashed at the time, but hey)

and

Mobile Suit Gundam (movie 2 or episode 19 or so of the series)
Wounded, his mission failed, and with the WB crew closing in on him, Ramba Ral basically opts for a suicide approach. As they enter, he pulls a pin on a grenade, and jumps off the WB with it yelling "Now I'm going to show you what it's like to be defeated in battle!" (...he's caught by the Gundam just as the grenade goes off, leaving Amuro with a handful of smoldering remains, but I digress)

Yeah, there's an ep in the beginning of GTO that has a kid jumping off a school building. He didn't die of course but you still get to see him jumping off the roof and being caught by his teacher and them both hitting the car.

There was one in maid service right at the end. A girl stabs a boy, killing him then stabs herself like at after. it was pretty cool i think.
