Anime Tips
Hi, first of all, hi I am a new member, I've already downloaded some videos and I must say that the ones I have downloaded are realy good, even though I haven't seen all the anime I can appreciate the artistic aspects of the videos (well didn't that sound serious..)
Anyhow I was wondering if anyone has a good anime tip, my paycheck is coming soon and need another anime, I'm searching for somethin "police-state" inspired, like the movies Equilibrium, V for Vendetta, Akira (I would like to say Ghost in The Shell but thats just about.. controll..)
Thanks in advance.

patlabor - there are several incarnations now so take your pick
Appleseed - either version
if you want something weird as hell try "blame".
X2 on ergo proxy.
TeXhnolyze has some gritty stuff that fits.
Why argue with Ghost in the shell? The series was great and has a very police state design to it. The movies, less so.

Um...you want something with police in it??
Let me think...how about You're Under Arrest or Burn-Up W (or other Burn-Up series)...oh...maybe eX-Driver.
You're Under Arrest is just police officers protecting the city's peach and safety.
Burn-Up series are action packed, solving mysteries and taking down the terrorist.
eX-Driver...well, this isn't really a police thing but yet, it kinda is, I think . It's about these school kids drivers who's been given permission to drive manual, gas, engine cars and they go around speeding, to try and stop the electonic automatic cars that's gone out of control.

If you don't have Jin-Roh yet, get that first and the second Patlabor movie second.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

Noir is nice. Not really policey but a great mistery feel.
And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.
