What exactly do you mean by similar to Outlaw Star? Characters? Space Ships? Etc?
I found S-cry-ed to be similar in the main character department.
The director of OS also worked on Sakura Wars and Pilot Candidate (might like that one).
Perhaps El Hazard (for the cast)??
What is wrong with FMA and Ghost in the Shell?
One is about life; the other is about exsistence and politics wrapped in a thick detective story.
I can aslo watch A.I. without falling asleep, but only because I have to look for a brick to hit my head. Has that kid ever been a movie that didn't stink. He is younger JLo or something.
Btw I've seen all the unedited episodes. I was just refering to missing it as in they never finished the story off, when they had the perfect chance to throw in a movie to finish the story line.
What's wrong with FMA? Same thing that is wrong with Inuyasha. They don't put the story to the grinding wheel and keep it refined and straight foward. They keep throwing in other characters as gimics. What's wrong with GITS? Well it's like CSI but in anime form, just way too boring and the episodes don't flow into each other. (Given it's a well made well founded show, it's just not my cup of tea.)
Scryed reminded me of DBZ a bit too much, but all in all I did like it, it just wasn't great.
Never heard of el hazzard.
The main thing that I liked about outlaw star was alot of things came together to make it a good solid show. Good character diversity, good story/universe, and enough "break" episodes to keep it from getting boring. It seemed like they never dwelled on any storyline plot except for the main one.
Trigun was another good anime that I saw as very similar to OLS in the way I compair things.
I'm hoping to eventually be able to check out angle links, but it seems to be pretty hard to find.
