Post by Sam Sam » Tue Jan 02, 2007 7:13 pm

Trigun is my favorite anime. It is also my first owned anime (even DVD. sad huh?) some people tell me that is over used or played, what is your oppinion. Of course I have brodened my horrizons with other anime but come on trigun is classic.

Well i'm guessing by over-used/played you mean in terms of AMVs. It is definitely used a lot so unless you can do something original get prepared for criticism, but really you do whatever you feel like.

Like Kadaj said, its up to you. To be honest who cares if its over used, go ahead and make it if thats what you want to do. Just cop the criticism on the chin and continue down the yellow brick road. If you can make a stand out(awesome) AMV with an overused anime, thats a good accomplishment in itself and you'll feel good. :D

Me personally, I thought it was alright. I could never really get into the villians too much though, which takes out some of the fun to me.

My friend says the manga is awesome, but I couldn't even make it through 2 chapters and don't really care if I don't.

I just thought it was ok.

Thanks :D . So basically I have to be pretty darn good in order to use a frequently used anime. Well, I guess I beater wait until I get a good program that works right.

I don't think Trigun is overused to the point of DBZ, but certain themes of it in AMVs are, like Vash tributes, but I think there are still many untapped ideas for Trigun someone could do.

The manga is freaking awsome. It is a little tough to read though. The art is too busy. Although Trigun Maxium is worth glancing at. The story is far beater told than the manga.

The manga is awsome. The art is a little too busy to get through it casually but the sequil Trigun Maxium tells the story beater than the anime, and I think it is worth looking at if you enjoyed the Animated series.

Meh. Trigun was so-so. I didn't like how it switched so rapidly between serious and comedic. It was fun once, but I don't know if I'd ever watch it again.

Trigun is one anime series I never get tired of watching. I own the dvd box set and love it. I don't mind all the AMVs out for Trigun. Some are pretty interesting. However, I agree with Kadaj that you'd need to do something really original to make it without criticism. Also to do what you want. AMVs are suppose to be fun as well as entertaining.
