Eva Renewal references in AD's guide
Absolute Destiny refers to 'the Eva Renewal' dvds in his guide and says they are FILM...does he mean the platinum DVDs?

I just wanted to know if it would be worth it to invest since I have the oldest boxset with the half-field blended make me want to go gendo on Gainax's ass because I have to encode everything in three or four different ways depending on the way I'm breathing at the time of wrtiing the avs script...

I can attest to the Renewal R2s of the movies being FILM, but I don't know about the TV part. I'd guess so, though, judging by a comment that was made (I think by ErMaC) on one of the threads dealing with the Stateside release of Platinum and ADV effing it up.
Anyway, yeah, Platinum is easy to IVTC - that TFM call that always comes up does it nicely.
