Strawberry panic, whats the point? possible spoilers

Ok to start off I am a lesbian, I just saw the first episode of strawberry panic! I would just like to know if an actual story develops...just a hint. If there is one or it's just an all girl school cliché girl on girl romp. What I mean it seems weird using the classic all girls so they must be doing each other kind of story. Opinions please……
