I like the way they pick up a popular series and edit out what makes it good. The perfect pplan for CN to pedal crap and keep the ratings flowing in.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Yeah in the big scheme of things, viewers are ignorant and will enjoy just about any crap they put on there. Just upsets me it's one of my favorite pieces of "crap."

I know I will get a reply about how CN is doing this great thing introducing anime to the mainstream, and I agree to a degree. However, I do remember someone posting how CN is creating these fans that think they know so much about anime and try to tell you you're wrong (remembers that line about Akira/DBZ in Tim Park's "Right Now" video). (sigh).

I saw it on the Latin American Cartoon Network. They showed Kenshin over there a while ago, but they weren't nearly as anal with the edits.
I like bugging people. Deal with it.

OIC thanks for giving me "hope" :-P. It means ours will be butchered even further :(. Didn't know it was shown in other countries, I guess that's kind of good.

Hey, this sounds funny, i wanna see it

Would be even better if the spliced other scenes to fix it up.

Kenshin walks into the Arean, Jinjea sits and waits, Jinjea pulls out his sword, (clips suddenly changes to southpark style black and white drawing of characters on lined paper) '
'would you like to buy i sword?'
'er, no, may i please have that girl back?'
'ooh, she is yours, i'm sorry, i was supposed to pick up my mother'
'thats okay, i forgive you. And, I drink Coke,'
'yes, coke is good, they sponcer cartoon network'
'yes, lets all go enjoy coke now,'

*i'm really bored at work, all bossess are busy and i finished everything i'm suppose to do*

dwchang wrote:(rant) Now I totally understand why they edited out Jinei stabbing Kenshin, stabbing himself, the blood, etc. etc....but well...let's see THAT'S THE POINT OF THE FREAKING EPISODE!!! From the edits in that episode, they totally cut out Jinei committing suicide and his speech to Kenshin (about him being a hitokiri for the rest of his life, which is sort of important) and just sort of end the episode without any resolution.
ah so he did stab himself, see i actually figured that's what he would do and now it makes sense as to why kenshin was sorta looking at him like that. figures. actually though i still heard his speech about how kenshin would be the man slayer forever, although they probably cut stuff out of the speech. yup i need money so i can go buy it. thanks for filling me in on what i'm missing. This is by no means insulting, but your ignorance on the show is exactly why I hate them doing this. When I say "ignorance" I don't mean it in the insulting way people are thinking. I mean it in that, you yourself needed clarification because the episode's edits make it ambiguous as to what happens.

Even people like me who haven't seen the entire series could also tell today's ep was edited as well.

After that part when Yahiko got poisoned... the scene just jumped to that one masked guy even before we see the weird dude get hit

They edited that out? All that happens is he says something like "See Kenshin? I can be useful?" or something.

Castor, watch the DVDs in Japanese :-P. You'll enjoy it and see it's a great show. I can't wait about a year from now when everyone says Kenshin sucks b/c of CN :(.
