The ending is the most interesting part. The "twist" (that is obviously eluded to the entire time) and the betrayal are what (IMO) makes Berserk awesome. The story tells that of friendship and eventual fall and betrayal. Also the Manga keeps going..I don't even think the anime is half of the story.

I have read the manga (and played the game, though that only marginally counts

) but I still want the anime to keep going. I dunno, manga just can't do it for me like anime can. Perhaps it's because I read to fast and have to force myself to give the pictures more than a passing glance. I know that might sound strange but I've got this strong compulsion to find out what happens now now NOW!!! Anime is naturally self-pacing, which I suppose I need.

OK I see what you mean. Although I am pretty impressed you can read Manga that quickly. It takes me DAYS to read like even a few chapters

Again though, I see what you mean since you aren't really "soaking-in" the visuals. Also, obviously an anime will have MORE visuals. Well at least you know what happens..after the ceremony, the skull knight and all that.

I have heard rumors that they are thinking about making a second season. I am curious as to how they'd do a few things since the manga gets quite sexually explicit (the scene of that orgy in hell comes to mind as do the goat demon and that chick). I guess it's do-able (no pun intended).

Oh, heh. Didn't mean to make you think I can read Japanese (not yet, anyway). I spend my time glancing from the book to my computer screen where I've got a translation called up.

Watch Episode 1 again after Episode 25. Chronologically it takes place after Episode 25. It'll make a lot more sense too

I just want to know how in the hell Gatts got out of that alive, with caska none-the-less? last we see of him, he was pinned under a demon of hell, whore tore open his eye, and is going to crunch his skull..... what a great ending
