I like it, but I enjoy quiet, introspective stuff. Like After Life or Windy and Carl. Reminds me of Hana-Bi in it's own way.

Heh, Noir is definitely my absolute favorite anime (as you can probably see from my avatar). A great soundtrack combined with an interesting story. It is quite slow-moving, but the overall atmosphere is so unique that some filler material can be tolerated.

I can't resist the temptation to promote my video here:

i enjoyed the "fight scenes" but over all it was boring and totally uninteresting. And a friend that saw the whole series said that the ending was weak.

Personally I hate Noir, the story is boring and drawn out, there are the evil flashbacks from hell, and most the stuff the two main female characters are not possible for a human of any kind. PDperfection loves Noir and tries to convince me its good but after watching the first 5 to 7 eps I got the basic idea of the series and told him I couldn't take any more.

yes, noir is awsome because of detail in the guns. The fact of the matter is, though, is that there are to many flash backs and it scares people off before the story gets interesting. Maybe it's just me but since I need to kill things this helped me to work so that I will hit that level achieved by non-real people. but that's just me........

oh and the gunman ship is achievable because the kick of there guns is not much and is very controlable. thought I'd say..

Noir, in terms of feel, reminds me a lot of .Hack//sign

To me, that means it's boring, but in a good way. I like both Noir and Hack a lot, but most of the time I can't handle watching more than a couple of eps in a row. They're very heavy and at the same time not very entertaining.

But watching pays off in the long run. Great OST, good gun detail, very nice aesthetically - satisfying, but not what you'd call fun.

I think I'd have to agree with a lot of people who have posted all ready. The show is a little slow and drags on somewhat. I've seen up to episode 8 and it was just a little to slow for me. I'd only watch it when I was really bored and had nothing else to do. I didn't hate the show, but it's nothing great. I do want to watch the rest of it though if that means anything so it has caught my attention somewhat, but I really have to be in a "Noir" mood to watch it.

To sort of put some counterweight on the negative, I would have to say that despite the surface dullnes, Noir is probably near the top of my priority list of "what to watch" right now.

Put it this way: if you're interested in girls with guns, don't be deceived by the advertisement. It's not about girls with guns. It's about the psyche of girls with guns and a strange backstory behind their origins.

If you're only interested in the girls with guns part, this isn't for you. That's how I'd judge it. There's no shame in admitting you love girls with guns and moving on to something else.

Now, who can tell me where I can find a show that's all about girls with guns?
